. � <br /> ', , • �� � <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement entered into by and between the County of <br /> Macon, Illinois, a body politic and corporate; the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation; Decatur School District #61 of <br /> Macon County, a body politic and corporate; the Decatur Park <br /> District, a municipal corporation; Decatur Township, a unit of <br /> local government, the Decatur Sanitary District of Macon County, a <br /> municipal corporation, and Richland Community College District #537 <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> 1. That all parties to this Intergovernmental Agreement, with the <br /> exception of Decatur School District #61 and Richland Community <br /> College District #537 are "units of local government" as defined by <br /> Article VII, Section 1 of the Constitution of Illinois 1970. <br /> 2 . That all "units of local government" and school districts may <br /> contract or otherwise associate among themselves with other units <br /> of local government and school districts pursuant to Article 7, <br /> Section 10 of the Constitution of Illinois 1970. <br /> 3 . That all parties to this Intergovernmental Agreement have a <br /> mutual interest in the assessed valuation of real property owned or <br /> occupied by A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company in Macon County, <br /> Illinois. <br /> 4 . That all parties to this Intergovernmental Agreement desire to <br /> engage an Appraiser with an M.A. I . designation who will generate an <br /> appraisal of A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company real property <br /> situated within Macon County, Illinois as of January 1, 1995. <br /> 5. That all parties to this Intergovernmental Agreement desire to <br /> engage an attorney specializing in Illinois real estate tax law who <br /> will represent all parties in assessment matters pertaining to all <br /> property owned by A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company in Macon <br /> County, Illinois. <br /> 6. That to effect this purpose, all parties to this <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement are wiling to share the costs for said <br /> appraisal and attorney based upon each party's proportionate share <br /> as reflected in the 1995 real estate tax bill sent to A.E. Staley <br /> Manufacturing Company. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS AND <br /> AGREEMENTS CONTAINED HEREIN, AND THE FOREGOING REPRESENTATIONS MADE <br /> AND RELIED UPON BY THE PARTIES, IT IS AGREED BY AND BETWEEN ALL <br /> PARTIES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the County of Macon through its Board Chairman, shall be <br /> delegated the administrative authority to do the following: <br />
