Reed, Mass Transit Administrator <br /> Subject: FTA Grant Agreement for Operating and Capital Assistance <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will authorize the execution of an <br /> operating and capital assistance grant agreement with the Federal Transit Administration. Said <br /> agreement will provide $450,000 in operating assistance for FY'96 and $204,800 in capital <br /> assistance for the Decatur Public Transit System, or a total grant award of$654,800. <br /> The capital funds are for the purchase of one transit coach, 3 bus passenger shelters, <br /> office and computer equipment and maintenance equipment. The federal share is for 80% of the <br /> cost of the capital items. The State will fund the remaining 20%. <br />
