R96-i26 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 'I'gE SUBMISSION OF AN AppI,ICA77pN <br /> TO LIEU'I'ENAN'T GpVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR GR�1NT F'UNDING <br /> �V�BLE 'I'HROUGH THE <br /> F�EP ILLINOIS BEAUTIFTTL pROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur hereby supports the Cit}rs <br /> participation in the Keep Illinois Beautiful Program to be administereri through Keep <br /> Decatur-Macon County Beautiful; and, <br /> V��REAS, Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful has applied to the Lieutenant <br /> Governo�s Offce for grant funding availabie through the "Keep Illinois Beautiful Program"; and, <br /> WF-�REAS, it is necessary that an application be submitted by Keep Decatur-Macon <br /> County Eeauti.�,1 a,,d c�r,ain age�mer.ts be �ater��i int;, ;,,ritn t;e State o:Illinois. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII. OF TF� CITY OF <br /> DECATUF� ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful has applied for a gant through the <br /> program under the terms and conditions of the State of Illinois and shall enter into and agree to <br /> the understandings and assurances governing the receipt and utilization of the aforesaid grant <br /> funds. <br /> Section 2. The Executive Director of Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful, on behalf <br /> of the City of Decatur, shall be empowered to execute such documents and all other agreements <br /> as may be considered necessary for carrying out the State activities outlined within said <br /> application including, without limitation, the grant document, and agreement with not-for-profit, <br /> community-based organizations for the purpose of administering the grant program. <br /> Section 3. The Executive Director of Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful is <br /> authorized to provide such additional information as may be required to accomplish the obtaining <br /> of a grant offer. <br /> Section 4.
