In 2014, the City Council <br /> approved the rezoning of the vacant properties immediately west to help spur and allow for the <br /> development of this area. The City Council approved the sale of this property on East King Street <br /> and East Central Avenue along with property immediately west so that Northeast Community Fund <br /> could build a center to distribute food and clothes as well as counsel citizens. The rezoning of this <br /> property will allow these blocks to all be in the same zoning district and allow for continued <br /> development of the Wabash Crossing area. <br /> SECTION FIVE: CERTIFICATION <br /> To be placed on the agenda of the regular meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 3:00 <br /> PM in the City Council Chambers, petition must be received on the first Thursday of the <br /> preceding month. Failure of the petitioner or the petitioner's representative to attend the Plan <br /> Commission hearing may result in items being tabled.
