ORDINANCE NO. 2016-37 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 7 - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY- <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be, <br /> and the same is hereby, amended and modified, so that as so amended and modified <br /> said Section 2 of Chapter 7 shall provide as follows: <br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have <br /> the power and authority to appoint and remove at will the Assistant City <br /> Managers, all directors of departments, all deputy and assistant <br /> department directors, fire marshals, battalion chiefs, police personnel <br /> above the rank of sergeant, division managers, administrative secretaries, <br /> executive assistant, members of the Legal Department, Personnel <br /> Specialists, Training Officer, Human Rights Officer, Systems <br /> Administrator, Senior Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Budget and <br /> Revenue Officer, Risk Management Assistant, Water Customer Service <br /> Manager, Water Customer Service Supervisor, Street and Sewer <br /> Maintenance Supervisor, Civil Engineer I, Civil Engineer II, Assistant City <br /> Engineer, GIS Specialist, Fleet Supervisor, Water Production Maintenance <br /> Supervisor, Water Production Operations Supervisor, Engineering <br /> Services Coordinator, Supervisor of Technical Services, CAD System <br /> Coordinator, Police Records Supervisor, Water Distribution Supervisor, <br /> Water Metering Supervisor, City Forestry and Property Supervisor, <br /> Foreman, Economic Development Officer, Building Inspections Manager, <br /> Senior Planner, Planners, Planning and Development Manager, <br /> Development and Revitalization Specialist, Senior Crime Analyst, Crime <br /> Analyst, Emergency Communications Manager, Emergency <br /> Communications Supervisors, Neighborhood Inspections Administrator, <br /> Neighborhood Programs Manager, Neighborhood Program Specialist, <br /> Enterprise Zone Administrator, and temporary and seasonal employees. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to <br /> cause the provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause <br /> the same to be published in pamphlet form according to law. <br />
