No new employees
will be hired for the position;higher class pay will be provided to the current Water Customer Service Representative assigned to
the position, during those times when the position is needed.
The Development Services Department is in need of a specialist to work on development and revitalization efforts for the
Department and the City. This position would supplant the current Planning and Development Assistant position in the current
budget. That position, which is currently vacant, would be eliminated with the establishment of the new position of Development
and Revitalization Specialist.
Both of these two positions are required to be included in Chapter 7 of City Code prior to being filled. This ordinance provides for
these positions in the Code,as required.
POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no know objectors to these changes.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None.
STAFF REFERENCE: Billy Tyus,Assistant City Manager for Development Services;E-mail:btyus@decaturil.gov;Phone:
424-2790.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The funds to cover these changes in staffing are covered in the Fiscal Year 2016
Finance and Development Services Departments'budgets,respectively.
ATTACHMENTS:
Description Type
Ordinance Amending Citv Code Chapter 7 Urclinincc
https://decatur.novusagenda.com/AgendaWeb/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=677 6/20/2016
