Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Establishing Handicapped Parking Space in Front of 238 South <br /> Crea Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of a <br /> handicapped parking space in front of 238 South Crea Street as recommended by the Traffic and <br /> Parking Commission <br /> BACKGROUND• <br /> May 26,2016—Traffic & Parking Commission approved a request from City staff recommending <br /> the installation of a handicapped parking space in front of 238 South Crea Street, which was <br /> requested by Joseph and Beverly Mason, who reside at this location. Public parking is currently <br /> allowed on the east side of the street at this location. The house is located on the east side of the <br /> street. <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission's recommendation is attached with the ordinance for <br /> Council's review. <br /> SCHEDULE: Installation is normally completed within 10 days of Council authorization. <br /> BUDGET AND STAFFING IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Budgetary impacts are approximately$400 for the installation of the requested <br /> signs and pavement markings. <br /> Staffing Impact: Approximately 4 hours of staff time to make and install the signs. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> Page � 1 <br />
