Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersections of <br /> North Calhoun Street and East North Street Facing East North Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of stop <br /> signs at the intersection of North Calhoun Street and East North Street facing East North Street. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> May 26,2016—Traffic & Parking Commission approved a request from City staff <br /> recommending stop signs be installed at the intersection of North Calhoun Street and East North <br /> Street facing East North Street. <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission's recommendation is attached with the ordinance for <br /> Council's review. <br /> SCHEDULE: Stop signs are usually installed within 10 days of approval. <br /> BUDGET AND STAFFING IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Budgetary impacts are approximately $250 for the installation of the requested <br /> signs and pavement markings. <br /> Staffing Impact: Approximately 2 hours of staff time to make and install the signs. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, and Matt Newell, City <br /> Engineer. Richard Marley, Public Works Director, will be in attendance at the City Council <br /> meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item.
