Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersection of <br /> South Seigel Street and West Forest Avenue Facing West Forest Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of stop signs <br /> at the intersection of South Seigel Street and West Forest Avenue facing West Forest Avenue. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> May 26, 2016—Traffic & Parking Commission approved a request from City staff recommending <br /> that the existing yield signs at the intersection of South Seigel Street and West Forest Avenue be <br /> replaced with stop signs. <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission's recommendation is attached with the ordinance for <br /> Council's review. <br /> SCHEDULE: Stop signs are usually installed within 10 days of approval. <br /> BUDGET AND STAFFING IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Budgetary impacts are approximately $250 for the installation of the requested <br /> signs and pavement markings. <br /> Staffing Impact: Approximately 2 hours of staff time to make and install the signs. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, and Matt Newell, City Engineer. <br /> Richard Marley, Public Works Director, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer <br /> any questions of the Council on this item. i <br /> This Memorandum was prepared by Griffin Enyart, Civil Engineer II <br /> Attach: 3 <br /> Copy: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> Page � 1 <br />
