As a result, Ryder/ATE, Inc. received the highest ranking. It
is the largest transit management company in the world and it has managed DPTS for the past six
years. Resident Manager Larry Hamlett, who has been in Decatur for almost five years, has more
than 20 years of transit experience.
Therefore, it is the City staffs recommendation that a three year contract be awarded to
Ryder/ATE, Inc. for the day-to-day operation and management of the transit system.
