Couter, Corporation Counsel��i� <br /> �I <br /> RE: Prevailing Wages <br /> The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act requires each city to deternune the prevailing wages for <br /> public works in its jurisdiction each June, those rates to then be in effect for a11 public works <br /> projects for that city for the neact twelve (12) months. The State of Illinois will make that <br /> determination, and the city may then adopt its findings, which Decatur has traditionally done. The <br /> accompanying resolution adopts the State's findings on this matter, and Staff recommends <br /> approval of this annual item. <br /> JWC:ps <br />
