Sommerfeldt, Acting City Manager I
Bruce A. McNabb, Director of Public Works i/ I
SUBJECT: EPA Self Permit ,
An item on the agenda for the meeting of Monday, June 17, 1996, is a resolution authorizing
the Mayor to designate appropriate persons within the Department of Public Works to sign
watermain extension permits on behalf of the City.
This Resolution is a requirement of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Delegated
authority will allow the City to approve all watermain extensions within the City limits. IEPA
approval presently requires six to nine weeks, which often delays construction.
Staff will be available to answer any questions at the meeting.
