Bacon, Jr., City Manager
George C. Weaver, Director of Department of Community Development
Robert S. Reed, Mass Transit Administrator
Subject: Leasing Agreement with Tommy House Tire Company
Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will authorize the execution of an
agreement with Tommy House Tire Company for the leasing of 10 parking spaces located on
City property and on the east side of the tire shop at 340 East Macon Street. Tommy House has
been using these spaces for 30 years for parking for his employees. Such use had started many
years before the City acquired the property.
The term of the agreement is for a ten-year period with the right of renewal for 2
additional ten-year periods. Tommy House will pay the City $100/month, or an annual fee of
$1,200, for the use of the 10 parking spaces. The fee will be renegotiated if the lease is renewed.
The lease will take effect on June 1, 1996.
