R � �– � <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION <br /> TO LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR GRANT FUNDING <br /> AVAILABLE THROUGH THE <br /> KEEP ILLINOIS BEAUTIFUL PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur hereby supports the City's <br /> participation in the Keep Illinois Beautiful Program to be administered through Keep <br /> Decatur-Macon County Beautiful; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful has applied to the Lieutenant <br /> Governor's Office for grant funding available through the "Keep Illinois Beautiful Program"; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that an application be submitted by Keep Decatur-Macon <br /> County Beautiful and certain agreements be entered into with the State of Illinois. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful has applied for a grant through the <br /> program under the terms and conditions of the State of Illinois and shall enter into and agree to <br /> the understandings and assurances governing the receipt and utilization of the aforesaid grant <br /> funds. <br /> Section 2. The Executive Director of Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful, on behalf <br /> of the City of Decatur, shall be empowered to execute such documents and all other agreements <br /> as may be considered necessary for carrying out the State activities outlined within said <br /> application including, without limitation the grant document, and agreement with not-for-profit, <br /> community-based organizations for the purpose of administering the grant program. <br /> Section 3. The Executive Director of Keep Decatur-Macon County Beautiful is <br /> authorized to provide such additional information as may be required to accomplish the obtaining <br /> of a grant offer. <br /> Section 4. That the City of Decatur shall and does hereby commit $9,575 in local funds <br /> as identified in said grant application to be used along with grant funds to implement the Keep <br /> Illinois Beautiful Program. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of Septembe• 9A�— <br /> � <br /> r- , <br /> ATTEST: Terry M.
