. ' s •
MEMORANDUM
#95-OS
Apri120, 1995
TO: City Council Members
FROM: Erik C. Brechnitz, Mayor
RE: City Manager's Employment Agreement
The subject agreement is attached. It represents the changes which we have negotiated
over the past several months and agreed to during our April 10 executive session.
The City Manager's base salary would be increased to $97,500.00 per year effective May
1, 1995. As you know, this is the first salary increase since 1992, an increase over that period of
time was less than three percent (3%) annually which is less than other city employee increases.
In addition, the city agrees to authorize the city manager to purchase IlV1RF credits based on his
years of service in Wisconsin. The city would assume no financial responsibility for the
employee's share and the city manager would be required to provide the city with a bond that is
established to eliminate any long-term financial liability for the city.
These changes have been developed after reviewing the city manager's job performance. I
believe that the changes recommended are consistent with those a.fforded other city employees
who have performed well.
Attachment
