COUNCIL MEMORANDUM
#95-10
March 30, 1995
TO: The Honorable Mayor and City Council Members
^ 'Y
FROM: James C. Bac, Jr., City Manager
RE: Resolution Supporting Housing Opportunities Grant
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development regularly makes funds
available to assist communities with issues regarding homelessness. In Decatur, we have
traditionally relied on community organizations to provide the services which are outlined in these
grant applications and the application has been made by the city government. The attached
resolution is consistent with that approach.
Representatives from the Coordinating Council on Homelessness will be at Monday's
meeting to answer questions you may have regarding this resolution. Previous gants using this
administrative approach have been successful and the staff believes that the administrative
provisions outlined in the application for this progam are satisfactory as well. Information about
the Coordinating Council and this program are also provided.
Attachments
