BACON: Chapter 60 of the Decatur City Code <br /> 2 provides that the City Council shall appoint a hearing <br /> 3 officer for the purpose of holding a public hearing <br /> 4 regarding whether or not an application for a new license <br /> 5 shall be granted. Council has met to consider that item and <br /> 6 has appointed the city manager as that individual . So, I 'd <br /> 7 like to convene this public hearing for the purpose of <br /> 8 considering an application for a new license for taxis of <br /> 9 the City of Decatur. <br /> m <br /> ¢ 10 This proceeding will be conducted in accordance of <br /> 0 <br /> � <br /> 0 11 provision of Chapter 60 of the Municipal Code; and so, at <br /> � <br /> � <br /> � 12 this time, I would like to ask the applicant to come to the <br /> g <br /> 13 microphone and explain the application; and then after they <br /> 14 have done that, I may have some questions for the applicant; <br /> 0 <br /> � <br /> � 15 and after that, anybody who would like to speak on this <br /> � <br /> N <br /> � 16 application, either in favor or in opposition to it, will <br /> � <br /> Q17 have the opportunity. So, that is basically how we are <br /> � <br /> r <br /> 0 18 -going to proceed this afternoon; and if I could hear from <br /> U <br /> W <br /> � 19 the applicant at this time. <br /> 20 MR.
