Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, Illinois 62523-1196 <br /> Dear Mr. McNabb: <br /> Bids were received on November 9, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. for the <br /> construction of City Project No. 8918E, Lake Decatur Dam Improvements, <br /> Spillway Concrete Rehabilitation. From the twelve contractors and <br /> suppliers attending the prebid conference, three bids were received and <br /> publicly read aloud. <br /> We have reviewed the bids and attached a copy of the bid tabulation. <br /> Please note the error by Gerace Construction Co. , Inc. There were no <br /> errors by the other bidders. The low bidder signed and dated the bid, <br /> attached the 5 percent bid bond, and acknowledged receipt of all <br /> addenda. <br /> The low bidder furnished a list of projects under construction or <br /> completed during the last five years. This list included projects <br /> having a construction value of $100,000 to $4,400,000. The projects <br /> included ten for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District Offices at <br /> Kansas City, Missouri ; Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Davenport, Iowa; and <br /> Little Rock, Arkansas. It also included a project for the E. I . Dupont <br /> at Parkersburg, West Virginia; four projects for railroad companies; and <br /> fifteen projects for the Missouri Department of Highway and <br /> Transportation. The Corps of Engineers projects included construction <br /> of a concrete training wall below the dam at the Harry S. Truman <br /> Reservoir and concrete work at Lock & Dam No. 14, Scott County, Iowa and <br /> Lock and Dam No. 16, Rock Island County, Illinois. Several of the <br /> listed references were called and commented favorably regarding <br /> creativity, cooperation, safety, attention to detail and scheduling. <br />
