To pay the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with sub-sections 1c and 1g; Section 2 (Construction Guidance) ; Section 7 (Changes ) ; and/or Section 16 (Termination) under THE ENGINEER AGREES of the AGREEMENT, the technical payroll cost of performing such work times a multiplier of 2 . 04 to cover overhead, profit, and readiness to serve. Direct expenses , for items such as aerial surveys , telephone tolls , stakes , iron pins , monuments , flagging, blue prints, and electronic computer shall be reimbursed at actual cost . "Technical payroll cost" is defined as salary cost plus (but not limited to) insurance , social security, vacation allowance , and retirement costs . Subject to the approval of the CITY, ENGINEER may subcontract any necessary test boring or sub-surface exploration services to be rendered in accordance with Section lc under THE ENGINEER AGREES and the CITY will reimburse the ENGINEER at actual cost. 4 . To pay the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with Section 3 (Resident Inspection) under THE ENGINEER AGREES of the AGREEMENT the technical payroll cost of performing such work times a multiplier of 2 . 04 plus the cost of direct expenses as noted in Section 3 above . Reimbursement for transportation furnished for the Resident Engineering serv- ices shall be at the rate of Two hundred dollars ( $200 . 00 ) per month or twelve dollars ( $12 . 00 ) per day for any fraction of a calendar month. 5 . That payment to the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with Section 2 of THE CITY AGREES of this AGREEMENT will be made monthly by partial payments based upon percentage of total work accomplished, assuming the following division of the work under the various parts of Section 1 of THE ENGINEERING AGREES : Sub-Section Portion of Total Work 1a ( Surveys) 25% 1b-lg (Plans , Spec ' s, etc . } 73% 1h (Bid Assistance ) 2% 6 . That payment to the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with Sections 3 and 4 of THE CITY AGREES will be made monthly by partial payments based upon costs to the EN- GINEER.
