ITEM 1 - DEFINITIONS � <br /> As used in this Agreement: <br /> a. Mass Transportation Service means general or special <br /> transportation service provided to the public (but not <br /> school bus, charter or sight-seeing service) on a regular <br /> and continuing basis in the service area described.in the ' <br /> Grantee's final, approved application. <br /> b. Net Project Cost means the sum of the'eligible costs <br /> incurred in performing the work on the Pro3ect, including <br /> work done by the Grantee, less proceeds from sale of scrap <br /> and replaced facilities. "Net Pro3ect Cost" does not <br /> include grant administrative costs. <br /> c. Pro�ect Facilities means any facilities, equipment or real <br /> property purchased, acquired, constructed, improved, <br /> renovated or refurbished as part of the Pro3ect. <br /> ITEM 2 - THE PROJECT <br /> The Grantee agrees to undertake and complete the Pro�ect and to <br /> provide for the use of Project facilities and equipment as <br /> described in the Grantee's final application approved by the <br /> Department, as specified by the approved Pro�ect Budget and in - <br /> accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws. The. <br /> Project, which is more particularly described in the plans, <br /> specifications and schedules set forth in the Grantee's final <br /> application, is generally described as: <br /> a. a bus washer <br /> b. a bus lift, <br /> c. a fork_ lift <br /> d. a telephone system <br /> e. planters for downstate transfer area <br /> f. a refrigerant recovery system <br /> g, a floor sweeper and scrubber <br /> h. renovation of locker room, wash room, parts room <br /> i. blacktopping <br /> 3 . remodeling of administration office <br /> ITEM 3 - AMOUNT OF GRANT <br /> The Department agrees to make a Grant in an amount equal to <br /> $31,000, or 20 percent of the actual total pro3ect cost, <br /> whichever is less. The actual total project cost shall be <br /> determined by the Department after completion of the Project. <br /> No liability shall be incurred by the State in excess of the <br /> amount of the Grant. <br /> 2 - <br />
