t. - . �. • � � 3 .- / � b' .�aN " `- �g9 � �"� AGREEMENT �tq) This Agreement, entered into this day of A.D. 199,3, by and between the County of acon, hereinafter called the COUNTY, and the City of Decatur, hereinafter called the CITY. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the State of Illinois desires to construct a bypass around the Town of Elwin requiring an overpass be constructed over County Highway 30; and, WHEREAS, the COUNTY desires to have County Highway 30 improved at the same time as the State construction project; and, WHEREAS, County Highway 30, a Class II truck route, must be closed for such construction for approximately seven months; and, WHEREAS, the COUNTY desires to have an alternate route for all vehicles using County Highway 30 including 80,000 pound trucks; and, WHEREAS, the COUNTY and CITY have determined that the best and closest alternate route for a detour is West Grove Road; and, WHEREAS, in order to accommodate the additional volume of traffic, the bituminous surface of West Grove Road is anticipated to require more than normal maintenance; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual coveriants contained herein, the parties agree as follows: � 1. The COUNTY agrees to designate County Highway 61 known as South Franklin Street Road as a temporary Class II truck route for the duration of the County Highway 30 closure. 2 . The COUNTY agrees to improve the South Franklin Street Road intersection with West Grove Road to accommodate truck turning radii. 3 . The COUNTY agrees to install temporary stop signs on South Franklin Street Road at the intersection with West Grove Road for the duration of the County Highway 30 closure. 4 . The COUNTY agrees to provide all detour signing not provided by the State, including Class II truck route signs for West Grove Road.
