Weaver, Community Development Acting Director <br /> Rolanda Johnson, Neighborhood Service.s Manager <br /> Bridget Hogan, Community Renewal Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: HOPE III Grant Application <br /> Attached please find a resolution requesting approval for an ap- <br /> plication to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for <br /> a HOPE III grant . This grant would be a joint application with <br /> the Neighborhood Housing Development Corporation (NHDC) to pur- <br /> chase and rehabilitate approximately 15 federal, state or locally <br /> owned vacant, substandard properties and sell to low income <br /> eligible homebuyers . The City will apply for $400, 000 with a lo- <br /> cal match requirement of $132, 000 (33%) which will be a combina- <br /> tion of in-kind services, donations and cash contributions from <br /> financial institutions . <br />
