R � �'-� , <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT <br /> - DECATUR AIRPORT "FIRE PIT" CLEAN-UP - <br /> WHEREAS, for many years the City of Decatur ("City") II <br /> utilized a portion of Decatur Airport premises, owned by the <br /> Decatur Park District ("District") , for purposes of training City <br /> and District firefighters in certain specialized fire suppression <br /> methods; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the area so utilized, due to the nature of the <br /> training, required a clean-up of certain fuels used to ignite and <br /> maintain a fire; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City and the District have agreed to share the <br /> cost of said clean-up; and, <br /> WHEREAS , said clean-up was accomplished at a cost of <br /> $142 , 923 . 59 , as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the agreement aforesaid between the City <br /> and the District be, and the same is hereby, ratified and <br /> affirmed. <br /> Section 2 .
