NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, May 24, 1993 at <br /> 7:30 P.M. at the City Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, <br /> Illinois b the Ci Council of the Ci of Decatur Macon Coun Illinois the "Ci " <br /> Y tY tY , tY, ( tY ), <br /> regarding a plan to issue not to exceed $13,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Revenue <br /> Refunding Bonds, Millikin University, Series 1993 (the "Series 1993 Bonds"). The proceeds <br /> of the Series 1993 Bonds will be loaned to Millikin University, an Illinois not for profit <br /> corporation (the "Corporation"), to provide the Corporation with all or a portion of the funds <br /> necessary to: (i) finance, refinance or reimburse the Corporation for the costs of the acquisi- <br /> tion, construction, renovation and equipping of certain of its educational facilities; (ii) advance <br /> refund all or a portion of the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois Revenue Bonds, Millikin <br /> University, Series 1988, issued in the original aggregate principal amount of $6,735,000 (the <br /> "Series 1988 Bonds"); (iii) advance refund all or a portion of the outstanding City of Decatur, <br /> Macon County, Illinois Revenue Bonds, Millikin University, Series 1991, issued in the original <br /> aggregate principal amount of$1,960,000 (the "Series 1991 Bonds"); (iv) make any deposits to <br /> certain funds required to be maintained in accordance with a trust indenture (the "Indenture") <br /> between the City and a bank or trust company, as trustee; and (v) pay certain costs incurred in <br /> connection with the issuance of the Series 1993 Bonds and the advance refunding of the Series <br /> 1988 Bonds and the Series 1991 Bonds, including bond insurance premium if deemed necessary <br /> or desirable by the City and the Corporation, all as permitted by the Constitution and laws of <br /> the State of Illinois. The proceeds of the Series 1988 Bonds were used by the Corporation to: <br /> (i) finance, refinance or obtain reimbursement for all or a portion of the costs of constructing <br />
