Sands <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> SUBJECT: NWTP Boiler Flue Replacement <br /> A recent inspection by King-Lar of the boiler and exhaust <br /> system at the North Water Treatment Plant revealed that the flue <br /> from one of the boilers had deteriorated to the point that it <br /> must be repaired, or replaced prior to use this fall. The cost <br /> of correction is estimated at $20, 000 (ball park figure) . , <br /> Obviously, this was not budgeted. We are proceeding with <br /> steps to take care of the problem. <br /> I call this to your attention at this early date in the <br /> event that unforeseen expenditures will require appropriation <br /> ordinance attention. <br /> cc: James R.
