' � �� ---- � � <br /> • , , <br /> s ' <br /> AGREII�sENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, desires to cooperate <br /> with the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District to <br /> encourage, promote and establish good soil and water conservation <br /> practices in the Lake Decatur Watershed area to keep the soil on <br /> the land and out of the lake. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by and between the District and <br /> the City as follows: <br /> 1) The term of this Agreement is for twelve (12) months, <br /> commencing May 1, 1992, and ending April 30, 1993 . <br /> 2) Ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of said term, <br /> the City will consider renewal of the Agreement for an additional <br /> one (1) year term. <br /> 3) The District will, when submitted in a timely manner, <br /> provide to the City research, review and recommendations for <br /> Lower Lake Decatur Watershed Resource Planning Committee and <br /> subcommittee activities, watershed nitrate management <br /> alternatives, Decatur Advantage II action plans regarding Lake <br /> Decatur, City water well field activities, and other City staff <br /> requests. The City recognizes that the recommendations may <br /> require District Board approval. <br /> 4) The District will plan and present at least twelve (12) <br /> soil and water conservation public education programs and <br /> promotions during said term. The programs will be directed at � <br /> both urban and rural landowners in the Lake Decatur Watershed. '� <br /> 5) The Cit will � <br /> y pay to the District in twelve (12) equal <br /> monthly installments during said term the total sum of Forty-Six <br /> Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($46, 500) . <br />
