R 1 � ' � ��'� RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF PROPERTIES - SOUTH 22ND AND CLAY STREETS - - STATE ROUTE 48 AND UNIVERSITY STREET - WHEREAS, the Council does hereby determine that ownership of the following described properties is no longer desirable or necessary for the City of Decatur: Lots Twenty-Four (24) and Twenty-Five (25) of Block One of Nelson Park Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 300 Page 78 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois; AND Lots Seven (7) , Eight (8) , Nine (9) , Sixteen (16) , Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) in Block Two (2) of Hills' 2nd Addition of Outlots as per Plat recorded in Book 536 Page 24 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a notice of intent to sell the above-described properties to be published once each week for three successive weeks in a daily or weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Decatur, Illinois. Section 2. That said notice of intent to sell establish a date for the opening and consideration of any offers to purchase said properties, or either of them, and that said notice state that the City may reject any or all offers to purchase and that the City reserves the right to negotiate a sale with any bidder or bidders. Section 3 . That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept such offer or offers for said property or properties, upon negotiation or otherwise, as appear to said officer to be in the best interest of the City, and that upon such acceptance the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to sign, seal and attest deeds conveying said property or properties, as the case may
