Clark, Community Development Director <br /> SUBJECT: Changes to the Comprehensive Housing <br /> Affordability Strategy (CHAS) <br /> Following please find the changes that have been made to the <br /> draft Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS) <br /> as a result of public and agency suggestions. The CHAS <br /> document represents the community's plan for meeting housing , <br /> needs over the next five years. This document was ; <br /> previously received in study session. I� <br /> The CHAS document is required by the Department of Housing I <br /> and Urban Development to be eligible for federal funding. <br /> Upon adoption, the document will be forwarded to HUD for <br /> review and approval. <br /> Staff recommends adoption of the Comprehensive Housing <br /> Affordability Strategy with the following changes: <br /> Page 2 - Developmentally Disabled <br /> Individuals had to be moved outside of county (not <br /> city) . <br /> Page 30 - List of Housing Complexes <br /> Longview - change from 418 to 386 <br /> Page 49 - Domestic Violence, Runaway or Abandoned <br /> Youths, Persons with AIDS <br /> Change from: Dove also provides a 24 hour hotline and <br /> offers assistance for victims of rape and sexual assault. <br /> Change to: Dove also provides a 24 hour hotline for <br /> victims of domestic violence. (Dove not DOVE) <br /> Citizen comments section added to document. <br />
