To pay the ENGINEER as compensation for all services <br /> rendered in accordance with Section 1 (exclusive of the cost <br /> of sub-surface explorations as noted in sub-section lc and <br /> the cost of additional Contract Documents as noted in sub- <br /> section lf under THE ENGINEER AGREES of this AGREEMENT) , the <br /> technical payroll cost of performing such work times a <br /> multiplier of 2 . 0 , not to exceed Twenty-four thousand <br /> dollars ($24 , 000 . 00) . <br /> 3. To pay the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with <br /> sub-sections lc and lg; Section 2 (Construction Guidance) ; <br /> Section 7 (Changes) ; and/or Section 16 (Termination) under <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES of the AGREEMENT, the technical payroll <br /> cost of performing such work times a multiplier of 2 . 0 to <br /> cover overhead, profit, and readiness to serve. Direct <br /> expenses, for items such as aerial surveys, telephone tolls, <br /> stakes, iron pins, monuments, flagging, blue prints, and <br /> electronic computer shall be reimbursed at actual cost. <br /> Necessary vehicles shall be reimbursed at $0 . 30 per mile. <br /> "Technical payroll cost" is defined as salary cost plus (but <br /> not limited to) insurance, social security, vacation <br /> allowance, and retirement costs. Subject to the approval of <br /> I the CITY, engineer may subcontract any necessary test boring <br /> or sub-surface ex loration services to be rendered in <br /> P <br /> accordance with Section lc under THE ENGINEER AGREES and the <br /> CITY will pay the cost to the ENGINEER plus 3� for office <br /> handling. <br /> 4 . To pay the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with <br /> Section 3 (Resident Inspection) under THE ENGINEER AGREES of <br /> the AGREEMENT the technical payroll cost of performing such <br /> work times a multiplier of 2 . 0 plus the cost of direct <br /> expenses as noted in Section 3 above. Reimbursement for <br /> transportation furnished for the Resident Engineering serv- <br /> ices shall be at the rate of Two hundred dollars ($200 . 00) <br /> per month or twelve dollars ($12 . 00) per day for any <br /> fraction of a calendar month. <br /> 5 . That payment to the ENGINEER for services rendered in <br /> accordance with Section 2 of THE CITY AGREES of this <br /> AGREEMENT will be made monthly by partial payments based <br /> upon percentage of total work accomplished, assuming the <br /> following division of the work under the various parts of <br /> Section 1 of THE ENGINEERING AGREES: <br /> Sub-Section Portion of Total Work <br /> 1a (Surveys) 10� <br /> lb-lg (Plans, Spec' s, etc. ) 88$ <br /> lh (Bid Assistance) 2� <br /> 6 . That payment to the ENGINEER for services rendered in <br /> accordance with Sections 3 and 4 of THE CITY AGREES will be <br /> made monthly by partial payments based upon costs to the EN- <br /> GINEER. <br />
