<br /> ELOCY. GRANT PROGRAM CONTRACTS I,
<br /> I. APPLICATION I�',
<br /> 1. These contract provisions shall apply to all work performed on the I�
<br /> contract by the contractor with his/her �wn organization and with the �
<br /> assistance of workers under his/her immediate superintendence and to all
<br /> work performed on the contract by piecework, station work or by sub- I
<br /> contract. I
<br /> 2. The contractor shall insert in each of his/her sub-contracts all of ''
<br /> the stipulations contained in these Required Contract Provisions and �,
<br /> also a clause requiring his/her subcontractors to include these Required �
<br /> Contract Provisions in any lower tier subcontracts which they may enter ��
<br /> into, together with a clause requiring the inclusion of these provisions ',
<br /> in any- further subcontracts that may in turn be made. The Required Con-
<br /> tract Provisions shall in no instance be incorporated by reference. �
<br /> 3. A breach of any of the stipulations contained in these Required Con- I,
<br /> tract Provisions may be grounds for termination of the contract. I
<br /> 4. a breach of the following clauses may also be grounds for debarment I
<br /> as provided in 29 CFR 5.6 (b):
<br /> Section I, paragraph 2;
<br /> Section IV, paragraphs 1, 2, 3, S, and 7;
<br /> Section V, paragraphs 1, Sa, 5b, and 5d.
<br /> II. EQUAL OPPORTUIVITY
<br /> During the performance of this contract, the contractor agrees as fol-
<br /> lows:
<br /> (1) The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or
<br /> applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, se�:, or na-
<br /> tional origin. The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure
<br /> that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during
<br /> employ�nent, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, or na-
<br /> tional origin. ' Such action shall include, but not limited to the fol-
<br /> lowing: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or
<br /> recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other
<br /> forms of compensation, and selection for training, including appren-
<br /> ticeship. The contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places, avail-
<br /> able to emplorees and applicants for employ�nent, notices to be provided
<br /> by the contracting officer setting forth the provisions of this non-
<br /> discrimination clause.
<br /> (2) The contractor will, in all solicitations or advertisements
<br /> for employees placed by or on behalf of the contractor, state that all
<br /> qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without
<br /> regard to race, color, religion, se�, or national origin.
<br /> (3) The contractor will send to each labor union or representa-
<br /> tive of workers with which he/she has a collective bargaining agreement.
<br /> or other contract or understanding, a notice, to be provided by the
<br /> agency contracting officer, advising the labor union or worker's repre-
<br /> sentative of the contractors' commitments under Section 202 of the E�-
<br /> ecutive Order Na. 11246 of September 24, 1965, and shall post copies of
<br /> the notice in conspicuous places a�ailable to employees and applicants
<br /> for employment.
