CLARK, DIRECTOR OF DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> SUBJECT: AGREEMENT WITH MIDWEST POWER CONCEPTS, LTD. <br /> The attached resolution will authorize the execution of an <br /> agreement with Midwest Power Concepts, Ltd. of Radcliffe, Iowa. <br /> The firm will supply the City with 5 ethanol injector systems, <br /> fuel dispensing equipment, and additional fuel tanks for the City <br /> buses involved in the 6-month alternative fuel demonstration <br /> project. They will also install all equipment and train DPTS <br /> mechanics on the installation and use of the system. <br /> Midwest Power Concepts, Ltd. will furnish a 6th ethanol <br /> injector system which will be installed on the spare engine sent <br /> to the emissions testing laboratory. Installation of the equip- <br /> ment is expected to start in a few days and the retrofitted buses <br /> should be ready to place into service 30 days thereafter. <br /> The total cost for the purchase of equipment and services is <br /> $60 ,000 . The federal government will fund $45,000 of that amount <br /> and State and local sources will contribute the remainder. <br />
