RESOLUTION NO. R2016-9� <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC DISPLAYS TO HONOR <br /> DECATUR CELEBRATION <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Decatur Celebration Street Festival is an annual celebration held the <br /> first weekend in August in the Central Business District of the City of Decatur as a way to <br /> celebrate the community and drawing thousands to the City and community. <br /> Section 2. For over three decades the City of Decatur has and continues to be involved <br /> with, support and assist the Decatur Celebration in its endeavors in recognition of the importance <br /> of the event to the community. <br /> Section 3. That in recognition of the importance of the event ,the City Manager be, and <br /> he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause to be placed on the public rights-of-way and other <br /> public grounds such signs, banners, artwork and other acknowledgements, including but not <br /> limited to banners, sidewalk art, and street paintings and markings as to said officer appear <br /> proper and appropriate to honor and celebrate the Decatur Celebration Street Festival. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 18t"day of July, 2016 <br /> Julie Moore Wolfe, May r <br /> Attest: <br /> � ' u <br /> / <br /> Debbie Bright, City erk <br />
