YDS 40 <br /> ' TRENCH BACKFILL TONS 250 <br /> TRAFFIC CONTROL LUMP SUM 1 <br /> ' MOBILIZATION LUMP SUM 1 <br /> ' AD-1-4 SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> ' 4.01 The following Special Provisions have been added to the Project Manual: <br /> ' SP-13 <br /> Description: This work will consist of excavating in West Rock Spnngs Road on <br /> ' both sides of the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Cut the 12-inch cast iron water main on the <br /> East side of the Railroad. Remove a 5 foot piece of the existing water main. On the west <br /> side locate the existing 12-inch valve, install the friction clamp and restrain the 12-inch <br /> ' valve. Remove a 5-foot section of the existing cast iron water main. Insert a steel cable <br /> into the existing water main to facilitate removal of the 12-inch water main from inside of <br /> the casing. Remove the water main from the casing. Install the new 12-inch D.I.P. water <br /> ' main into the casing using the required spacers. Swab the inside of the 12-inch water <br /> main with chlorine as it is installed. Sleeve the new water main to the existing water <br /> main on the east side using a MJ sleeve and grip rings. Tap the new 12-inch water main <br /> ' on west side using a 1-inch corporation for chlorine and pressure testing. On the west side <br /> finish installing the 12-inch D.I.P. and make connection to the existing water main using <br /> a MJ sleeve and grip rings. Pressure test and sample the water main for chlorine residual. <br /> ' Install the end seals on the casing.
