Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordmance Annexing Territory--1837 Ferris Drive <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the subject anne�tion petition be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The subject property adjoins Decatur City limits on the north. Property to the south, east and west is located in the County. The <br /> lot contains approxirriately 0.472 acres. The lot is improved with a residence. The following information is irrelevant to the areas <br /> in question: <br /> 1. City water is currently available and connected to the subject property. Water service was first connected in 2005. <br /> 2. No additional public infrastructure or municipal services are needed or contemplated. <br /> 3. Decatur Fire response distance and time averages 5.0 miles and 10 minutes, respectively. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections <br /> 1NPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The owner requested annexation for water services. The plat and annexation request has <br /> been reviewed by Engineering, Finance, Fire, Legal, Macon County Health Department, Municipal Services Division, Planning& <br /> Building Services, Neighborhood Services, and Water Services. All of the reviewers recommend the annexation be approved. <br /> STAF'F REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matt Newell, City Engineer.
