Five firms submitted propos- <br /> als for the City' s consideration. The qualifications of the firm, the Resident <br /> Manager candidate, and the central staff support were assessed in <br /> addition to the management fee. Three of the firms and their <br /> managerial candidates came to Decatur for interviews. Based upon <br /> the evaluations, ATE Management & Service Company, Inc. of <br /> Cincinnati received the highest ranking. It' s proposed Resident <br /> Manager was the best qualified of those interviewed with a <br /> Master's degree from Vassar College and more than 6 years transit <br /> experience as a manager of public and private bus operations. <br /> ATE is the largest transit management company in the world and it <br /> offers the best central staff support of any of the firms submit- <br /> ting proposals. Moreover, they will include computer software <br />
