.� II <br /> used in the application for fun�s from the State of Illinois <br /> referred to in paragraph 2 hereof. <br /> 2 . The Conservation District shall prepare and submit an <br /> application to the Department of Conservation of the State of <br /> Illinois for funds pursuant to the provisions of I11. Rev. Stat. <br /> 1987 , ch. 127 , para. 63a36 , said funds to be used in the <br /> construction of a trail system. <br /> 3 . If said application is approved and said funds are <br /> granted to the Conservation District, and said Conservation <br /> District decides to construct such a trail system, the City and <br /> the Park District, individually, further agree to provide <br /> assistance in such construction, such assistance to be of a kind 'I <br /> and in an amount to be decided upon by the City and Park '� <br /> District, respectively. ,I <br /> 4 . If said application is approved and said funds are I <br /> granted to the Conservation District, and said Conservation ' <br /> District decides to construct such a trail system, then, in I <br /> addition to any such participation in the construction of said <br /> trail system as is described in paragraph 3 hereof, the Park <br /> District and the Conservation District agree that each will pay <br /> one-half (1/2) of the cost of placing signs along the trail <br /> system so constructed. <br /> 5 . Except as otherwise set out herein, the trail system <br /> constructed pursuant to the provisions hereof shall be the sole <br /> property and responsibility of the Conservation District. <br /> 6 .
