� <br /> � � <br />, � . r � _ . <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, desires to cooperate <br /> with the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District to <br /> encourage, promote and establish good soil conservation practices <br />' in the Lake Decatur Watershed area to keep the soil on the land <br /> and out of the lake. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by and between the District and <br /> the C�ty as �oalews: <br /> 1 . The term of this Agreement is for one (1) year, <br /> commencing December l, 1989 and ending November 30 , 1990 . <br /> 2 . Ninety (90) days grior to the expiration of said term, <br /> the City will consider renewal of �he Agreement for an additional <br /> one year term. <br /> 3 . The City will pay to the District in twelve (12) equal <br /> monthly installments during said term the total sum of Forty <br /> Thousand Dollars ($40 , 000 . 00) . <br /> 4 . The District shail apply said sum to administrative <br /> expenses, employment of a Lake Decatur Watershed Specialist, and <br /> to soil conservation educatiozal programs and promotions. <br /> 5 . The District shall pregare and submit to fr.e City <br /> quarterly annual reports showing the amounts, application and <br /> manner of use of funds paid to it by the City, and shall permit <br /> the City to examine its books and records upon reasonable notice <br /> and during customary business hourG. <br /> 6 . To further support good soil conservation practices in <br /> said watershed, after May 1, 1990 , the City will pay the <br />
