R v � '� /�� <br />� RESOLUTION SUPPORTING FORMATION OF WATER AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, is the owner of the <br /> premises described on Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a <br /> part hereof; and, <br /> WHEREAS, there was filed in the Macon County Circuit Court <br /> on October 16 , 1989 , in Case No. 89-MR-81, a petition seeking to <br /> have the territory described on Exhibit B hereto organized as a <br /> water authority pursuant to the provisions of 111. Rev. Stat. <br /> 1987 , ch. 111 2/3 , par. 223 et seq. , said Exhibit B being hereby <br /> made a part hereof; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the property owned by the City and described in <br /> Exhibit A is within the boundaries of the territory described in <br /> Exhibit B, and said City-owned property would therefore be <br /> subject to the jurisdiction of said water authority, to the <br /> extent permitted by law; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that the inclusion of said <br /> premises within the boundaries of such water authority would be <br /> beneficial to the City' s efforts to develop and operate a water <br /> well field on the premises first described above. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DFCATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Decatur supports <br /> the formation of a water authority as described in Exhibit B <br /> hereto, and further supports the inclusion therein of the <br /> City-owned property described in Exhibit A hereto. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 6th day vemher, 1989 . <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> < <br /> CITY C E K <br />
