CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS SANITARY SEWER INTERCEPTOR IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT ENGINEERING SERVICE CONTRACT Parties to THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into the day of Contract , A.D. , 1989, by and between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and PHILLIP W. COCHRAN, CONSULTING ENGINEER, hereinafter referred to as the "Engineer", WITNESSETH: General IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the Parties Conditions hereto that the said Phillip W. Cochran, Consulting Engineer be, and the same is hereby employed by the said City as Engineer on the proposed West Mound Road Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Project, City Project 8g 2 1 , the approximate description of which is as follows: The extension of an 18 inch and 10 inch sanitary sewer from the existing Stevens Creek Interceptor on the North side of West Mound Road to a point on North Taylor Road approximately 1 ,600 feet North of West Mound Road. and the said Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to perform the engineering services required upon the said Proposed Improve- ments, to represent the City in all engineering negotiations re- lating thereto, and to perform the engineering services of prepar- ing detailed surveys, detailed plans, specifications, and estimates of cost; making field surveys and establishing lines and grades; furnishing professional engineering services during the bidding and contracting phase and; the construction phase; and detailed resident inspection of construction of the previously described Proposed Improvements, for and on behalf of the said City of Decatur, Illinois. This contract is subject to the provisions of Exhibit "A" attached to and made a part hereof. The various services to be performed and compensation therefor shall be as follows: Detailed Con- P3ragraph 1 - (a) The Engineer sha11 make the necessary tract Plans, detailed surveys and prepare the necessary detailed plans, speci- Specifications fications and estimates of cost on the said Proposed Improvements. The said detailed plans, specifications and estimates of cost sha11 be prepared according to good engineering practices and accepted standards. Such detaiied plans, specifications and estimates of cost sha]1 be prepared in such detail as will be suitable for use in receiving bids and in awarding construction contracts.
