Engineering Paragraph 3 - (a) The compensation for the services rendered <br /> Fee under the provisions of Paragraph l (sub-paragraph a and b) and <br /> Paragraph 2 (sub-paragraph a and b) shall be percentage of the <br /> total estimated construction cost of said contemplated improvements, <br /> determined as follows: <br /> Cost of Construction gasic Fee (Percent) <br /> First $100,000 . . . . . . . . . . . .13.00 <br /> Next $120,000 . . . . . . . . . . . . 10.10 <br /> Next $200,000 . . . . . . . . . . . . 8.30 <br /> Next $300,000 . . . . . . . . . . . . 7.20 <br /> Next $750,000 . . . . . . . . . . . . 6.50 <br /> Compensation for the services rendered under Paragraph 1 shall <br />' be Eighty Percent (80%) of the above determined basic fee. The <br /> compensation for the services rendered under Paragraph 2 shall be <br /> Twenty Percent (20%) of the above determined basic fee. <br /> (b Com ensation for the services rendered under the rovision <br /> ) P p s <br /> of Paragraph 1 shall be due and payable monthly on estimates made by <br /> the Engineer and in proportion to the estimated percentage of com- <br /> pletion of the services to be rendered in accordance with the pro- <br /> visions of said Paragraph 1 (sub-paragraph a and b) . <br /> (c) Compensation for the services rendered under the provisions <br /> of Paragraph 2 (sub-paragraph a and b) shall be due and payable from <br /> time to time during the progress of construction of said improvements <br /> and in amounts proportional to the value of the work performed in the <br /> construction of said project from month to month. <br /> (d) Final payment for services rendered under the provisions of <br /> Paragraph 1 and 2 shall be due and payable upon the completion of <br /> said improvements. <br /> Abandonment Paragraph 4 - It is hereby understood and agreed that should the <br /> City abandon the improvements for reasons beyond its control , and on <br /> which it has ordered detailed plans, specifications and estimates, <br /> or shall be compelled to terminate any other work before the completion <br /> � thereof at a point where the amount of the fees due the Engineer cannot <br /> be determined on a percentage basis in accordance with the provisions <br /> of the foregoing paragraphs of this contract, then the Engineer shall <br /> be entitled to and shall receive an amount computed as the total pay- <br /> roll cost of all personnel having worked on this project times a <br /> multiplier of two (2.0) plus the actual cost of "outside expenses" as <br /> established in Paragraph 7 of this agreement. <br /> -3- <br />
