REED, MASS TRANSIT COORDINATOR <br /> SUBJECT: DOWNSTATE OPERATING ASSISTAIVCE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR FY'90 <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will <br /> authorize the execution of a Downstate Operating Assistance Grant <br /> Agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The <br /> grant agreement provides that the State of Illinois will reim- <br /> burse the City up to 40� of the eligible operating expenses of <br /> the Decatur Public Transit System for FY'90 (July 1 , 1989 thru <br /> June 30, 1990) . <br /> The estimated DPTS operating budget for State fiscal year is <br /> $1 ,882,010 , of which IDOT' s share will be $752,804. Last year' s <br /> request was for $765 ,584 . The first reimbursement for FY' 90 is <br /> not expected until September, 1989 , assuming that Governor <br /> Thompson has signed the Department of Transportation Appropria- <br /> tion Bill for FY' 90 before then. <br />
