Bacon, Jr. , City Manager <br /> George C. Weaver, Community Development Director <br /> ��obert A. McQueen, Planner <br /> SUBJECT: Ameritech Communications Tower <br /> 1535 McBride Avenue <br /> A request for land use approval regarding construction of a <br /> communications tower and electronic telephone equipment <br /> shelter at 1535 McBride Avenue is scheduled for review and <br /> action by the City Council on Monday, October 31, 1994 . The <br /> area in question is a vacant tract presently zoned M-2 Heavy <br /> Industrial District. <br /> In accordance with applicable provisions of said M-2 <br /> District, construction of the proposed tower is a permitted � <br /> use therein provided the individual site is approved by the I <br /> City Council after review and report by the Building , <br /> Inspector and Fire Chief; these individuals have completed 'I <br /> their review and find the proposal acceptable. , <br /> Inasmuch as the surrounding area is also zoned M-2 Heavy <br /> Industrial, staff is of the opinion that this site is �'I <br /> logical for the proposed use; we recommend approval of the <br /> petition as presented. <br />
