AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF A SIDEWALK ��'� ��'`�'�`�'� - WEST WOOD STREET- 15.00 ch Recorder of Daeds Fee�,�_ WHEREAS, a request has been received from the Decatur Public Commission requesting vacation by the City Council of a portion of a sidewalk located on West Wood Street between South Main and South Church Streets, said portion of said sidewalk being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north right-of-way line of West Wood Street, said point being 34 feet west of the intersection of the North right-of-way line of West Wood Street and the west right-of-way line of South Main Street; thence southerly 10 feet, thence westerly 94 feet to a point, said point being 94 feet west of and 11.5 feet south of the point of beginning, thence north 11.5 feet to the north ri ht-of-wa of West Wood Street thence east to the oint of g Y , P beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said sidewalk is no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said sidewalk and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion of said sidewalk. NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY 'TF� CITY COUNCII. OF TF� CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described portion of said sidewalk be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public sidewalk inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said sidewalk being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
