ORDINANCE NO. � - O I <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 24 - <br /> - OFFICE ON AGING ADVISORY COMMISSION - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, , <br /> ILLINOIS: i <br /> Section 1. That the City Code be, and it is hereby, amended � <br /> and modified at Section 2 of Chapter 24 thereof so that said ��I <br />� section as so amended and modified shall provide as follows: <br /> 2 . The Commission shall consist of seven II <br /> commissioners who shall serve without compensation and <br /> who shall be residents of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> selected so that the Commission shall have a broad <br /> representation of senior citizens as follows: not less <br /> than four commissioners shall be above the age of 59 , <br /> and at least three commissioners shall represent senior <br /> service agencies and organizations or areas of concern <br /> in the City of Decatur and the County of Macon. <br /> Section 2 . On the effective date of this Ordinance, the <br /> seven (7) commissioners whose positions are established hereby <br /> shall be those commissioners then-serving who have so served for <br /> the longest continuous period of time, and said commissioners <br /> shall serve the remainders of their respective terms, as <br /> previously appointed; the remaining then-serving commissioners <br /> shall no longer serve as such and their positions shall be <br /> vacated and abolished. Thereafter, appointments for successors <br /> shall be made and approved as provided in said Chapter 24 , as <br /> amended hereby. <br /> Sec�tion 3 .
