ORDINANCE NO. � - O I ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE - CHAPTER 24 - - OFFICE ON AGING ADVISORY COMMISSION - BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, , ILLINOIS: i Section 1. That the City Code be, and it is hereby, amended � and modified at Section 2 of Chapter 24 thereof so that said ��I � section as so amended and modified shall provide as follows: 2 . The Commission shall consist of seven II commissioners who shall serve without compensation and who shall be residents of the City of Decatur, Illinois, selected so that the Commission shall have a broad representation of senior citizens as follows: not less than four commissioners shall be above the age of 59 , and at least three commissioners shall represent senior service agencies and organizations or areas of concern in the City of Decatur and the County of Macon. Section 2 . On the effective date of this Ordinance, the seven (7) commissioners whose positions are established hereby shall be those commissioners then-serving who have so served for the longest continuous period of time, and said commissioners shall serve the remainders of their respective terms, as previously appointed; the remaining then-serving commissioners shall no longer serve as such and their positions shall be vacated and abolished. Thereafter, appointments for successors shall be made and approved as provided in said Chapter 24 , as amended hereby. Sec�tion 3 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the amendatory provision hereof to be appropriately set out in said Code and the same to be published in pamphlet form.
