� t , <br /> . ti . <br /> � <br /> ORDINANCE N0. — <br /> AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE ANNi7AL <br /> TAX LEVY FOR THfi CITY OF DECATUR <br /> FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1993-1994 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois is a home rule unit of local <br /> government as defined by, and having the powers enumerated in, Constitution of <br /> Illinois 1970, Article VII, Section 6 (a) ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, for the fiscal period for which levy is made hereby, the Council <br /> has duly appropriated amounts in excess of said levy for the objects and <br /> purposes shown by the copy of the Appropriation Ordinance hereto attached and <br /> hereby made a part hereof. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property ! <br /> within the corporate limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, as the same is ' <br /> taxed and equalized for State and County purposes for the fiscal year beginning <br /> with the lst day of May, 1993, and ending on the 30th day of April, 1994, the <br /> sum of Five Million Five Hundred One Thousand Dollars ($5,501,000) the objects <br /> and purposes for which said sum is hereby levied and is apportioned among the <br /> several objects and purposes herein specified as follows: <br /> For the operation of Public Library <br /> Reading Rooms to be known as the <br /> Library Fund $ 2,134,390 <br /> For Police Pension, as required by law 579,716 <br /> For Fire Pension, as required by law 643,181 <br /> For employment of a Municipal Band for <br /> Municipal puxposes 55,000 <br /> For the purpose of Police Protection in <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois to pay <br /> salaries to police 861, 698 <br /> For the Public Benefit Fund for <br /> Municipal purposes 120,370 <br /> For City contribution to Illinois <br /> l�tunicipa2' Retirement Fun�', as required' <br /> by law 559,631 <br />
