,
. .
Mr. Chamblin stated that a chip rock lot would be an acceptable
compromise. Mr. McQueen stated that staff would be willing to
review the paving issue with agreement of the commission. Mrs.
Jameson stated that she would prefer the chip rock alternative to
asphalt.
Mr. Swartz questioned if the building can be torn down or altered
under the provisions of the special use permit. Mr. McQueen
stated that the special use permit pertains to the specific use
in the building.
Mr. ChaYnblin stated that there is no provision to prevent
personal use by the owner of the building. The structure can be
demolished just by applying for a demolition permit. He stated
that was not his desire which is why he had looked for a new
owner with the same type of concern for the building.
Mr. Swartz questioned if the special use permit limited the
business to a frame shop. Mr. McQueen stated that it does.
It was moved and seconded (Swartz/Clevenger) and approved that I
Cal. No. 93-63 be forwarded to City Council with recommendation
for approval per staff stipulations with the change regarding the ,
parking area. Motion carried unanimously. j
