. . . � <br /> � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � � � O <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY <br /> - 390 EXCELSIOR STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petitions under <br /> oath of Delbert V. Cearlock requesting that there be annexed to <br /> the City territory described as: �I <br /> Commencing at a point 650 feet South of the Northwest I, <br /> corner of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 16, <br /> Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. , thence <br /> East 134 feet, thence South 130 feet, thence West 134 <br /> feet, thence North 130 feet along the West line of said <br /> NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of S16, T16N, R3E of the 3rd P.M. <br /> to the point of beginning; <br /> AND <br /> Beginning at a point 780 feet South of the Northwest <br /> corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of the Northeast <br /> Quarter (NE1/4) in Section 16, Township 16 North, Range <br /> 3 East of the 3rd P.M. , thence East 134 feet; thence <br /> South 120 feet; thence West 134 feet; thence Narth 120 <br /> feet along the West line of said Northwest Quarter <br /> (NW1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section 16, <br /> Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. to the <br /> point of beginning; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners <br /> of record of all land within such territory and by at least 50$ <br /> of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any <br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby, approved. <br />
