ORDINANCE NO. �� —S S� <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF <br /> ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY <br /> - UNITED WAY KICK-OFF PARTY - <br /> WHEREAS, United Way of Decatur/Macon County ("United Way") <br /> will hold a kick-off party on Merchant Street in the City of <br /> Decatur on August 27, 1993; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intent of United Way to offer alcoholic ' <br /> liquor to its guests for consumption at such function; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public <br /> right of way requires express approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best <br /> interest of United Way and of the City of Decatur that such <br /> consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for <br /> said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE � <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on August 27, 1993, and only on such day, <br /> between the hours of 5: 00 P.M. and 7 : 00 P.M. , alcoholic liquor <br /> may be consumed on Merchant Street in the City of Decatur. � <br /> Section 2 .
