, } , , ORDINANCE NO. �� ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE - HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD USE - WHEREAS, on the 5th day of August, 1993 , upon due notice, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public hearing on the petition of George C. Weaver, Acting Director of Community Development, to modify and amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur, the same being Ordinance No. 3512 , as amended, at Section II. 76. thereof regarding historic neighborhood use; and, WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission did report its findings and did recommend that said petition be granted and that the Zoning Ordinance be sQ modified and amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the report and recommendation of the Decatur City Plan Commission be, and the same are hereby, received, placed on file and approved. Section 2 . That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended at Section II. 76. thereof so that said Section of said Zoning Ordinance as so modified and amended provides as follows: 76. Historic Neighborhood Use: A use of land in the Decatur Historic District or an identified Historic and Architectural Land Mark as established by Ordinance No. 78-159 that, with appropriate controls and under specific conditions, is consistent with and preserves the essential character and nature of the surrounding neighborhood, but which is not listed herein as a permitted use in the particular zoning district applicable to and underlying such land. Section 3 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause this ordinance to be published in pamphlet form.
