r <br /> , r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � � �3 � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY <br /> - MACON COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT - <br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under <br /> oath of the Macon County Conservation District requesting that <br /> there be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> SEE EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO AND <br /> HEREBY MADE A PART HEREOF; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners <br /> of record of all land within such territory and that no electors <br /> reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City <br /> and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or <br /> incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby, approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of <br /> this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and <br /> recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois. <br />
